SUE BRUSHMEAR

Sue is the principal instructor and founder of Manor Judo Club. She started judo in 1972, and her club on 22nd April 1993. Sue currently holds the rank of 3rd dan and the great respect from all who know her. Having fought all over europe her experience is vast. She has trained in America and amongst her many accolades she was PARIS OPEN CHAMPION 3 times and BJC NATIONAL CHAMPION more than 7 times.

STEVE ALLEN

Steve is Sue's right hand man. Despite the fact that he didn't start practicing judo until he was 40 his enthusiasm took him quickly to the rank of 1st dan. He likes angling and regularly cycles for charity, as far away as China!
Easily recognisable, he's the big guy with the permanent smile!

WENDY ALLEN

Wendy has been the Secretary of Manor since it's beginning. Initially, as well as ensuring the smooth running of the club, she was also a student who currently holds the rank of Blue belt. Although she no longer practices judo her enthusiasm can still be heard echoing around the Dojo! It was Wendy's father, who gave so much to the club and that now gives his name to our coveted GEORGE SHARP MEMORIAL TROPHY. Steve and Wendy have two sons, Brett and Bradley who are both accomplished judoka at the club.
